Your Questions Answered...

Can I speak directly with seizure experts?
You will be able to initiate an appointment with our team and send us important updates but current regulations only allow us to respond through your own vet. This will keep your vet in the loop which is vital but allows you to initiate the appointment on your terms.

How much will my visit cost?

Your appointment will be priced based on the time allocation you choose and the mode and speed of communication that you desire. The costs will be transparently detailed when you sign up for the service.

How will I be prescribed medications for my pet if needed?
Your vet will be informed directly of our advice for medications and they will be able to prescribe for you at a location wherever you choose.

How often should I use this service for my pet's seizures?
If your pet's seizures are being controlled we would advise using the service every 6 months for us to advise on potential future changes and check up on the health of your dog or cat. If you feel that your pet's seizures are not being well controlled or there are concerns about the effects of the medications, you can use the service as often as you prefer.

How do I get any necessary blood work on my pet performed?
You will be advised about the most appropriate blood work required for your pet based on the medication it is receiving and the signs it is showing and this can be performed at your own vet.

Do I have to submit my pet's medical records?
Once your vet has agreed to the appointment, they will help to send us the records we require. You will be able to send us updates on the progress of your pet and complete calendars to alert us of changes in the seizure frequency your pet is experiencing.

Will pet insurance cover the cost of this service?
Many pet health insurance companies will cover the cost of telehealth appointments but it is advised to contact your policyholders directly to get clarification.

What do I do in the case of an emergency?
In the event of any health concern or emergency, we advise you to contact your own vet immediately. They will have all of the advice we have given in the past for your pet and they are able to contact us if they need to.
